Linaweek was born in Dalian, China and later immigrated to New Zealand. During her studies in business at the University of Auckland, she maintained a strong interest in art and never ceased her artistic explorations. In 2012, she moved to Hong Kong with her family, where she initially worked at PwC before joining a financial institution in an administrative role. During this time, she continued her art education, studying painting at HKU Space and self-studying digital art. She was later fortunate to study oil painting under the guidance of the renowned professional artist Mr. Lin Ming Gang (林鸣岗), a well-known “Master of Colour,” a member of Société des Artistes Français, and the Chairman of the Hong Kong Oil Painting Research Society. Immersed in this vibrant artistic environment, Linaweek was deeply influenced by her mentor’s unique style, which ignited her passion for capturing the beauty of nature on canvas.
