Galloping Memories on Auckland's Black Sands
On the black sands of Auckland’s coastline, a lady jockey soared, her silhouette framed against the vast expanse of sky and sea. The horse galloped gracefully, hooves pounding rhythmically on the dark shore, sending sprays of saltwater into the air. We drove a jeep alongside her, hearts racing with excitement, capturing the moment in precious snapshots.
The sun hung low, casting golden light that danced on the waves, creating a breathtaking tapestry of colors. The deep blue of the ocean met the soft hues of the sky, blending into a magnificent panorama that felt almost surreal. Each click of the camera felt like a small prayer to preserve this fleeting beauty.
Years later, as I sat with my canvas, I reflected on that unforgettable day. With every brushstroke, I painted the scene—the determination in the jockey's posture, the wild mane of her horse, and the endless horizon stretching beyond. The black sands held a magic that lingered, a reminder of freedom and adventure. As I painted, I knew these memories would gallop alongside me, wild and free, like the lady on her horse against the backdrop of the magnificent sea.
